Dear Families,
Spring is almost here, which means it’s report card and portfolio presentation time again. Rather than only holding individual spring conferences, fifth grade is also offering an optional “open-house” day to distribute report cards and share portfolios. The open house will also offer families the chance to peak at the new AzM2 (formerly AzMerit). In addition to this option, our class has several other options for spring conferences.
5thGrade Options for Spring Conferences
Read through the 3 options below for report card distribution and portfolio presentations, and choose the best one for you and your family!
Classroom Open House
Our class will be holding an open house during the afternoon of Wednesday, March 11. Feel free to stop by anytime between 1:30 and 3:00 with your student so they can lead you through their portfolio. I will be on hand to guide students, answer any questions, and hand out report cards. This is a great choice for families that want some flexibility to their time, to touch base, but don’t have any major concerns.
Private Conference
If you feel that you and your child would benefit from a private individual meeting with me, please use the link below and sign up for a private conference with your student and me on Thursday, March 12 or Friday, March 13. Space is limited, so sign up quickly!
No Conference
Some families feel comfortable with where their student is academically and socially and might not feel that a spring meeting is necessary. If this is you, feel free to skip any of the above options, and I’ll send home report cards and portfolios on Friday, March 13. Drop me an email with any questions you may have after going over the report card and portfolio.
